Vice President Kashim Shettima caused a minor uproar on Thursday when he asked Rivers State Governor Sim Fubara to greet the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.
Shettima made the plea during a meeting of state governors with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Some service chiefs also attended the meeting.
According to reliable sources, Tinubu called the conference to address economic hardship and a recent increase in insecurity in several parts of the country.
Meanwhile, Wike and Fubara have been locked in a secret fight over Rivers State leadership.
Despite his position as a minister, Wike, the immediate former governor of Rivers, has attempted to maintain the state’s political system.
Despite signing a peace treaty sponsored by Tinubu, there are signs that Wike and Fubara are in a cold war.
