Emefiele: EFCC storm Dangote headquarters over forex transactions

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, invaded the Dangote Group’s Lagos headquarters on Thursday.
According to TheCable, the anti-graft agency’s officers were conducting an investigation into forex allocations to the company during Godwin Emefiele’s time as Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN.
Dele Oyewale, an EFCC spokeswoman, declined to comment on the development.
However, a Dangote employee acknowledged that EFCC agents were present at the company’s headquarters.
“They asked for documents on forex transactions with the CBN,” the employee said.
