Among the prominent attendees of the party’s Caucus meeting on Thursday night were Atiku Abubakar, the opposition Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) candidate for president in the 2023 elections; former vice president Namadi Sambo; and Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.
The caucus meeting, which is a precursor to the much-anticipated National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the party slated for Thursday, April 18, 2024, is currently holding at the Bauchi State Governor’s Lodge in the highbrow Asokoro District of Abuja.
The meeting has the embattled acting national chairman of the PDP, Amb. Iliya Umar Damagun; Bauchi State governor, Bala Mohammed, and other chieftains, including governors elected on the platform of the party in attendance.
