Early life
Born on 27 May 1990 in Ijegun-Egba Satellite Town but he hails from Onicha in Ebonyi State.
Education
Patoranking schooled at Citizen Comprehensive College in Epe, Lagos and later enrolled at Jibril Martin Memorial Grammar School in Iponri.
He later moved to Ghana to pursue his education at the University of Cape Coast but could not continue due to financial constraints.
Career
With a strong and deternef zeal to succeed, Patoranking was signed to Black Rhythmz Entertainment which was owned by Lanky, an acquaintance of his While doing some meager jobs to meet ends meet.
He returned to Nigeria and joined K-Solo’s Igberaga Records in 2012, where he recorded “Iya Bisi”, featuring Qdot and Kbaj. He later released another single Alubarika which means God’s blessings and features vocals from Timaya.
Tthe singer described the song as a summation of his life’s experiences and the blessings he has received iin terms of building a fan base and working with established musicians.
He became famous after he released his first album, God Over Everything, in 2016 which had hit singles like Kissing baby, Love Town, Hale Hale, and Beautiful. He released yet another album in 2020 to the joy of his fans titled “time”.
The album featured top artists like Sauti Sol, Tiwa Savage, Flavour, and King Promise. The album won the Best Reggae Dancehall Album at the Headies in 2022.
