Samklef was born as Samuel Oguachuba on 5th February, 1985 at Airforce Base PWD, Ikeja, Lagos State but is originally an Igbo native from Imo State, Nigeria.
He spent his formative years in Lagos State where he acquired his academic degrees.

Samklef rose to fame in the music scene with his unique blend of Afrobeat, hip-hop, and R&B sounds.
He began his music career as a producer, working with various artists and producing hit songs for prominent Nigerian musicians like Wizkid, D’banj, Ice Prince, Olamide, Skales, Don Jazzy, 2face etc.
Samklef has collaborated with international artists like Kanye West and Timberland.
Other artists he has collaborated with are J Bryte, Emmsong, O’cube, Vector, Mudina, Sunny Neji, Ruggedman, Durella, Skales, D’Prince, and Simisola.
In addition to his success as a producer, Samklef is also a talented artist and Disc Jockey (DJ).

“Noni,” Samklef’s debut album, was released in 2010, in January 2011, he released an international version of the album, called “NONILIZING.”
Samklef and Wizkid collaborated on the song “Nonilizing,” which is part of the album Nonilizing, he also has a music video for “Suwe” on his record.
Some of his popular songs include “Molowo Noni,” “Molowo Noni Remix,” “Suwe,” “Molowo Noni Remix,” and “Skelebe.”
Samklef has collaborated with several entertainment companies, such as Exp & i360, Mind Falls, Flow Records, Smashers Records, Sound Factory, and Back 2 Black, prior to launching his own record label, Noni Records.
