Hon Tajudeen Abbas has been Elected as Speaker of the House Representative.
He was declared winner having scored more than 200 votes on Tuesday.
Abbas was nominated as speaker by Alhassan Ado-Doguwa, the outgoing majority leader of the House.
During the Tuesday Assembly inauguration, Abbas, the preferred candidate of the All Progressives Congress was chosen by voice vote.
